If you wish to find out how you can offer a work colleague meaningful support that will not make the situation worse and increase the danger for his partner, we can provide information and guidance to help you take an active role in reinforcing our key messages to your colleague and preventing further harm, provided that it does not go against any relevant policy at your workplace.
FOR COMMUNITY MEMBERS
We know that for some men who are causing fear, distress or harm to their female partner/ wife/ girlfriend, the positive advice and support provided by people in their community who share a similar cultural or faith background, could have a significant impact on their capacity and motivation to stop their domestic abuse.
If you wish to find out how you can offer a male community member meaningful support that will not make the situation worse and increase the danger for his partner, we can provide information and guidance to help you take an active role in reinforcing our key messages to prevent further harm.
We can work with you and your community to identify the shared values and beliefs that promote respect, equality and human rights for women, and discourage those that treat women as inferior to men.

Please note that in this section, the primary focus during this phase of our service is support for friends/ family/ colleagues and community members who are concerned about adult men who are causing harm in heterosexual relationships. We recognise that domestic abuse can also happen in same sex and transgender relationships, in some heterosexual relationships where men are the sole victims, and in family relationships. We intend to provide resources and support on this website at a later date. In the meantime, we will post links to resources and available support provided by others that we are aware of.
